Since 1957, when it first opened its doors, Christian Community Center has been providing direct services to individuals and families in Muskegon and Muskegon Heights. One of the core services that the Center has consistently provided is a food program offering hot, nutritious meals in a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment. We currently work with Nutritional Services to offer a noon lunch program for seniors whom come to the Center each day seeking not only nourishment, but also companionship and socialization. The Center also offers a weekday evening meal program that is open to anyone. During the Summer, the center offers a program for youth, ages 8-14, called "Summer Afternoon Adventure Team." The participants spend 4 hours with hands-on activities that involve physical fitness, fine arts, literacy, life skills, and community outreach. During the school year, an after-school program is offered. This program is based on the same five areas of focus as our Summer program. The Center also provides a Second Harvest Gleaners Food Truck quarterly. The food from this semi-truck is available to anyone in the community in need. Location: 540 E. Hackley Avenue Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. For more information, please contact Mike Gilleece at (231) 725-7579 or via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it |
