  • Translators--Seeking Spanish speaking volunteers for the Muskegon Baby Pantry on the first and second Wednesdays of each month. This would be a great volunteer project for bi-lingual college students.

  • Shoppers--Seeking teams of two individuals at God’s Kitchen to shop for us at Feeding America, formerly Second Harvest Gleaners, on an on-call basis.  Shoppers help on weekday mornings from approximately 8:30-11:30 a.m. Candidates must pass a Motor Vehicle Driving Record check and have the means to get to God’s Kitchen to obtain a van for driving to and from Feeding America. Individuals need to be able to lift up to 30 pounds (heavy cans or boxes of produce.)

  • Suburban Outreach Drivers--Seeking volunteers to deliver a prepared meal to God’s Kitchen Suburban Outreach Programat St. John Vianney, St. Alphonsus and Our Lady of Consolation. The driver can use God’s Kitchen van or their own truck or van. The meals are ready to be picked up at God’s Kitchen at 4:00 pm. The entire route usually takes about an hour. You must be able to lift at least 50 pounds or work in teams of 2. St. John Vianney and St. Alphonsus are delivered on Tuesdays and Our Lady of Consolation is delivered on Thursdays. Currently, volunteers are only needed on an "on-call" basis, to fill in for other drivers when they are ill or have a schedule conflict.

  • On-call Drivers--Seeking on-call volunteer drivers who can use God’s Kitchen’s van or their own vehicle to pick-up food donations and drop off food donation barrels as needed. This individual will probably be called on approximately 4-6 times per month.

We also use groups of 7-10 people to serve lunch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.
