As part of foster care reunification, Catholic Charities offers a Visit House to provide a home-like environment for meetings with bio parents and their children during the foster care process.

“At the Visit House, our case aides and I have been supporting as essential staff, for foster care, and are happy to facilitate visitations for families visiting with their children. In-person visitation allows for families to naturally bond and be connected. This assists in the reunification process with families and we act as a resource in those connections, allowing for healthy and safe spaces.

During these visits, keeping families and staff safe is a priority of mine, even more so during these times. Foster care has made changes in areas including house capacity, space availability, closing off high touch point areas, prioritizing the wearing of masks and cleaning of hands.”
