God’s Kitchen serves a noontime hot meal daily, to anyone who needs it, in the Heartside Neighborhood of Grand Rapids. Guests are welcomed in on a walk-in basis with no questions asked and no qualifiers. In this video we interview Cindy, a former patron of God’s Kitchen, who became homeless due to her son’s medical issues.

God’s Kitchen serves over 150,000 meals each year to hungry people and between 250-350 patrons each day. We are serving people in downtown Grand Rapids as well as sponsored sites throughout West Michigan. Our footprint is the Diocese of Grand Rapids, so food insecurity is being addressed not only in urban locations, but in rural ones as well through our mobile food truck.
