In-Home Family Services

The In-Home Family Services Program provides a variety of services to keep families together and as a family preservation program, it assists and supports families in a non-traditional way. The moderately intensive strength-based, solution focused counseling and family preservation services are provided in the home and include a strength-based family assessment process, individualized service planning and goal development, counseling, parent education, skill development and individualized services based on a family’s need. Immediate crises are quickly diffused; families learn to identify and confront conflicts. By reducing risks, resolving differences and improving interaction, families are able to develop skills and access resources to maintain on-going progress. This program is provided in Muskegon and Berrien counties.
