Muskegon Food Pantry

The Muskegon Food Pantry Is Now Closed and Transitioning to Harbor of Grace

Catholic Charities’ Muskegon Food Pantry is now closed, but we are happy to announce that we will be assisting in the transition of this program to Harbor of Grace Lutheran Churchlocated just 1 1/2 miles east of our current location on 3rd Street.

With Catholic Charities’ move to our new Muskegon facility on 7th Street next year, our executive leadership team and board of directors decided to eliminate the Muskegon Food Pantry program because our new neighbor, the Muskegon Rescue Mission, has it’s own food pantry. However, we searched for a partner that could continue the pantry program and help ensure that our Muskegon patrons would not go hungry. With this effort, we are happy to partner with Harbor of Grace and are donating much of our pantry equipment (freezers, coolers, shelving, etc.) to help them take over the program.

The Muskegon Baby Pantry Is Still Open!

Despite the elimination of the Muskegon Food Pantry, we will continue to offer free baby pantry items and serve the more than 1,800 families we see each year. The Muskegon Baby Pantry provides free diapers, wipes, formula, clothing and more to those in need and, in the new Muskegon building, we will be better integrating these services with our programs.
