AmeriCorps Seniors Programs

Catholic Charities West Michigan understands the value of seniors in our community and is pleased to sponsor the AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent and AmeriCorps Seniors Senior Companion Programs.

The mission of AmeriCorps Seniors is to engage persons ages 55+, particularly those with limited incomes, in volunteer service to meet critical community needs.

AmeriCorps Seniors strives to provide a high-quality experience that will enrich the lives of the volunteers and those they serve.

Strengthen Your Community

Connect with your community and enrich lives in your neighborhood by serving as an AmeriCorps Seniors Volunteer.

One Township at a Time

One Township at a Time (Project) is reviving some of those traditions in Newaygo County. The project aims to combat social isolation and loneliness in people aged 55 and older by bringing residents together, building natural helping networks and forming social support systems within their geographic community.
