Supporting the Essential Week
Thank you to everyone who donated! We exceeded our goal and raised $55,000 for our essential programs!
Catholic Charities West Michigan’s “Supporting the Essential” Giving Week is an effort to raise awareness and funds for our vital programs during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the cancellation of three fundraising events that support our programs, the increase in clients served, and adjustments made for client safety, we need your help!
Thanks to our amazing sponsors below, every gift made will be matched up to $26,000!
Many people in our communities are struggling to figure out where their next meal will come from and how to feed their families. That is why we provide free food to anyone who needs it at our God’s Kitchen meal site and at the Muskegon Food Pantry. So patrons, like Cindy, can meet their essential needs.
How to support CCWM’s food programs:
$18 – Box of Groceries or 8 meals at God’s Kitchen
$59 – To-go materials for 100 meals
$220 – 100 meals at God’s Kitchen
Children are expensive and many parents can’t afford to regularly provide needed diapers, wipes, formula, and clothing. That is why we offer two baby/toddler pantries which help families in need, like Juwanne’s, with free baby/toddler goods.
How to support CCWM’s baby/toddler pantries:
$18 – Box of Groceries
$50 – Diapers and Wipes
$200 – Baby and Toddler Shoes
We have all been living in times of uncertainty and we all have questions that do not have answers. This may lead to increased anxiety and depression. Support our counseling clients, like Michelle, with virtual sessions and/or help with transportation to group meetings.
It is so important to help provide a safe and loving home during this time of stress and uncertainty. Support foster families and families in our support programs, like Adora’s.
How to support CCWM’s family programs:
$50 – First Night Kits (Toothbrush, PJs, Blanket)
$100 – Grocery Store Gift Cards
$200 – Developmental Toys and Instruments
As we adjust to the COVID-19 pandemic, some things do not change. Compassion and collaboration remain the hallmark of our work, to bring the mercy and love of Christ to everyone we serve. Despite the crisis, we have continued to provide 95% of our programs to those most in need, but we still need your help!
