Feeding the Hungry. Counseling the Struggling. Building Strong Families.
Catholic Charities West Michigan offers more than 30 social service programs that provide hope to West Michigan families and individuals.
We see adoption as a loving choice. Catholic Charities West Michigan walks alongside all members of the adoption triad—birth parents, adoptive parents, and especially the child—with a commitment to love and respect for everyone involved.
Our goal in foster care is reunification of the child with the birth family. For over 50 years, we have been working with foster families whose love and support have allowed many children and teens to have loving adults on their side.
Catholic Charites West Michigan offers pregnancy support services for free. Our counselors are skilled at working with pregnant women and their families to explore issues that arise through pregnancy and the first year of life.
Catholic Charities West Michigan helps those facing the challenges of everyday life by offering mental health counseling for children, adults, couples, and families in Grand Rapids, Muskegon, and several other West Michigan locations.
Catholic Charities West Michigan’s food programs are dedicated to addressing the topic of “feeding the hungry” by serving hot noontime meals. God’s Kitchen exists not only to feed those that hunger for food, but also the hunger for hope.
We understand the value of seniors in our community. Our mission is to engage persons ages 55+ in volunteer service to meet critical community needs through the Foster Grandparent and Senior Companion Programs of the AmeriCorps.
We assist and support “at risk” families through strength-based, solution-focused counseling and family preservation services. Families learn to reduce risks, resolve differences, and improve interactions so that they can flourish.
Baby & Toddler Pantries
The Baby & Toddler Pantries of Catholic Charities West Michigan, located in Grand Rapids and Muskegon, offer a selection of free items for infant and toddler care, including diapers, wipes, clothing, and much more for children ages 0-5.
We seek to put faith in action by responding to the call of Catholic social teaching on local, national, and global issues. We provide advocacy, awareness, and value-added programming in conjunction with the Diocese of Grand Rapids.
